U11 Rounders

17th November 2018

Braeburn Gitanga played host to Braeburn Imani and Braeburn Nanyuki rounders teams on Friday 16th November in a U11 rounders triangular.

Our first game was against the hosts and, although the girls played well, they were beaten by a stronger team. This did not deter them though as their performance against Imani improved, showing they had learnt from their mistakes.

There were fantastic batting and fielding techniques throughout the first two games. For some of our players, it was their first ever time playing competitive rounders. Despite this inexperience, they demonstrated good understanding of the game and played tactically to outwit their opponents while fielding.

We moved onto Braeside School in the afternoon to challenge their team. Our girls were amazing, wining both innings to take the match. Jade, Treza, Harriet, Eshal, Elsa T, Anika, Ashya, Daisy, Jessica, Alice and Virginia were a great team and we congratulate our them on their fantastic performance.
