Voices in Unison

28th February 2025

On Tuesday, 25th February, fifteen excited children set off for Braeburn Garden Estate, where they would spend the night before the Braeburn Festival. The journey was filled with excitement, making it hard for them to settle down. Luckily, the long trip made them tired enough to get some rest.

The next morning, we were the first to arrive at Braeburn Gitanga. This gave us time to practice getting on and off the stage and get used to performing in a new space. Some children were nervous about the raised stage at first, but their nerves quickly turned into excitement!

Fourteen schools took part in the festival, and the variety of songs left an impression on our children. On the way home, they happily sang some of the songs performed by other schools. Our own performances of If We Work Together and Build a Friendship were well received, with teachers praising their sincerity. The festival ended beautifully with a joint performance of Candlelight Canon.

The children felt proud of their efforts and enjoyed the experience. For those who may attend next time, there is much to look forward to!
