Back to School

4th September 2021

Well done to everyone on finishing our fabulous first week back at school. In classic Braeburn Nanyuki style, it has been a busy one and children up and down the school have had a great time getting to know their new teachers and classes.

This year has seen a record number of students join us, as well as 14 new members of staff and this has led to an extra sense of excitement around the school! All classes from Year 1 to Year 5 are now split into two registration groups; the introduction of new teachers in each of these year group promises exciting things for the year ahead - as the old saying goes: two brains are better than one!

Teachers have pulled out all the stops to make the start of the new school year as exciting as possible; staff spent the last week of the holidays in school, setting up classrooms to welcome everyone back and help all the children feel at home right from the very beginning of term. Their hard work didn’t stop there, however! Children have had great fun this week taking part in a range of exciting activities: demonstrations and there have been hands-on experiments, exciting team games and challenges in PE, and auditions for the Year 5 and 6 production of Superstan.
