World Book Day Doors

6th May 2022

Friday saw the whole school celebrate World Book Day (a little late, but definitely better late than never!) as children and adults dressed up as characters from some of their favourite books.

There were wonderful outfits on display and it was lovely to see so many children in homemade costumes fit for princes and princesses.

During this shorter week, children from each class had also been tasked with creating a door display to represent a book that they have either read as a class or really enjoyed. The creative juices had clearly been flowing as you can see from the pictures of some of the doors that could be found around school.

All children had the opportunity to visit the different doors and ask questions about what inspired the display. All of the doors looked absolutely fabulous and both teachers and children are desperate to keep their carefully curated displays up for as long as possible.

If you were to design a door display based on a book you enjoyed, what book would you choose and what might it look like?
