Year 4 Poets

This week, children from Year 4 have been immersing themselves in poetry. They have been looking at different forms of poems such as Haikus, Limericks and Cinquains.
Each lesson we have studied some poetry examples written in a different form so that children could think about the features that were used within it and to understand how the forms vary between the three types of poem.
They then had a go at creating a poem as a whole class before trying their hand at writing one or two of their own.
