Year 4 Stay Healthy!

In Year 4 PSHEE, we have been learning about staying healthy. This incorporates lots of things, but includes healthy eating.

This week, we divided into groups and made four different healthy snacks, which we had voted on. These were: banana smoothies, frozen fruit and yoghurt pops, hummus with carrot sticks, and date energy balls. We had to follow a recipe and work cooperatively to have success in our food preparation, which we all did! It also helped us with our skills in Maths, English and Science skills. The teachers barely helped us, which shows that we are all capable of making these foods independently.

Everyone loved making the different snacks and - most importantly - eating them! We might even ask our parents if we can start making some of these snacks to bring to school…and if you would like to try them, we have included all the recipes!
